Hi
I have ancestors who attended Mynyddbach and Bethel Chapels in Morriston but I am having some difficulty is finding where the BMD records are. Any information on accessing these records would be appreciated.
Thanks for any help

Genuki Glamorgan (google) has some information on these Chapels, also West Glamorgan Archive Service could help.

Also try Archives Wales (http://www.archiveswales.org.uk/index.php?id=1044) There is a link to the catalogue from that introductory page
Also, for pre 1837ish registers that may have been handed over to the Registrar General, see the National Archives Catalogue (http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/search.asp). Use series code RG 4. These records should be online at bmdregisters

Thanks everyone
I'll follow up the leads you have suggested. I understand that Mynyddbach Chapel closed about 1998 which is a pity as I have a number of ancestors who were either baptised or married at the chapel in the 1845- 1905period.
Thanks again for your help
Terry
Hi Terry,
Mynyddbach Chapel was still open last year although I understand that it's closure is imminent.
Unfortunatley the only records that remain at the Chapel are the burial registers, a copy of which is available at West Glam Archives at Swansea

Thanks Noni, I'll visit the archives the next time that I'm in Swansea.
