I Would like to order the birth certificate for the following person but am having trouble with the page no. Can anyone with a keen eye say if it is 490 or 493 ?

The 0 is badly printed but I think it looks like 490. A 3 would have slight indendation in the right side.

I looked at this with Irfanview Essex Girl, & it's still a bit questionable. You could do as transcribers do if unsure & ask for:

FMP seem to have a clearer image, and in my opinion there is no doubt that it's 490.
Essex girl, Can I also just make a slight point, in that the volume number is 1b (as in one), as you originally typed it as I (as in
capital i). :smile5:

Thanks everyone. I thought it looked like 490 too. I did phone the GRO this morning re Peter's posting only to be told by answer phone that my call was being disconnected due to the abnormally high volume of calls-guess everyone is trying to beat the price rise deadline :)
