Just received a Birth Cert (first one of many before th 6th!!) and under the mother's name is an alteration with a number (12) against it. On the far right hand side of the columns if the same number but in writing "Twelve" with the Registrar's initials. I am assuming this was some sort of error code - anyone come across this before?
(The "formerly" name was entered as her middle name - this has been crossed through and her actual correct maiden name put underneath)
