|help| ME PLEASE!!!! I am trying to locate another person on the 1881 census. I have searched and searched and cannot find her. Sarah Parsons - born abt 1858 in wimborne, dorset. found on 1871 census as Age: 16 Estimated Birth Year: 1855 Relation: Daughter Where born: Wimborne, Dorset, England Civil Parish or Township: Wimborne County/Island: Dorset Source information: RG10/1983 Registration district: Wimborne Sub-registration district: Witchampton Folio: 12 Page: 4 Household schedule number: 14 Parents are Charles and Harriett Parsons.
Have looked on FreeBMD and found a marriage for either 1890 or 1893 that might match.

In 1881 there is a family in Wimborne that could fit. Sarah was a dressmaker in 1871.

Hi,

I looked on Ancestry found birth for Sarah Parsons Wimborne 1858 Sept Quarter, 5a 260, also looked on 1881 census, she must have married by then.

I am assuming you don't know her married name.

The only way you can find out if this is the birth record for your Sarah is by ordering the birth cert.

You would have to search ancestry for possible marriages between 1871 and 1881.

I would assume that by the time the 1871 came around, Sarah now aged about 26 would have been married.

Using the search facility on ancestry, I asked it for any Sarah, born in Wimbourne, Dorset who was aged about 26.

It came back with just 4 people who met all the above criteria and was also married.

Hi I also looked on ancestry for 1881 census,

Assuming Sarah married William R James in 1875, Wimborne Dorset, which I did find a marriage for, I found the same people in the 1881 census

Alfred P James (son) birthplace bournemouth abt 1876
Alice H James (daughter) birthplace furzehill Wimborne Dorset
Sarah James (Wife) born about 1855
William R James (head) born about 1856
Charles Kimber (lodger) born about 1840 long critchell dorset.

I will have to order the certificate for the marriage in 1875, as this is the one that looks possible. I must have missed this marriage when searching earlier as I only saw the 1890 and 1893 marriages but could not find matches for either of those on the census' either, hence my request for help.
