In 1907 Samuel Thompson Pearce b.1851 married Nellie Maria Blanche Hammond b.1871. In 1913 they travelled to New York with the Forbes Robertson Theatre company. They were going to perform in the opening season of plays at the Shubert Theatre.
This may be a long shot but does anyone out there have family links to the Hammond family or actors or actresses who may have been in the same tour? Can anyone tell me more about it?
I have been in touch with the archive department of the Shubert Theatre but they have no identifying records of my GG uncle and his wife so I dont think they were 'famous' but its a fascinating piece of family history I'd love to explore further.
