Howell - South Africa

Hi,

Hope anyone can help me.

My name is Mike Howell and I am from South Africa. I've researched my family tree back to a James Howell who arrived in the Cape Colony in 1806, but cannot find any more info on his ancestors or family.

This is what I have
Born : 1784, London (this might just be an estimate)
Arrived in the ape Colony(South Africa) in 1806.
He was a Naval Victualling Clerk when he arrived and later he was a librarian in Cape Town.
He married Maria Magdalena Eksteen of the Cape Colony on 27/03/1808

The only other info I have on him are of his descendants.

I would appreciate it if someone could provide more info on this person or otherwise maybe just point me in the right direction.
