It appears to be text only at the moment!

This is dire! Just a column down the left of the screen. Help!

I agree - forum was okay 20 minutes ago. Went to do something else and now this.
What is happening?

It was only the style sheet temporarily gone missing. Nothing to panic about.

- and you've moved the particular forum name to the last column, which is much clearer, and you've added the date on which each thread was started, which is something I had been thinking might be a good thing. Are you psychic?

As it used to be - thank you

That's great as that was one feature I really missed. If I am in a hurry, I glance down the list and only open threads that night be of interest or on which I might be able to help.

I can only access new posts, can't find the link to get all of today's posts and I only read a couple when I opened it this morning and now they have disappeared... can't find the handy box where you can pick out what you want as far back as you want..... AND everything is terribly S....L......O...........W responding on here tonight.

I apologise for the inconvenience, but the techies have been working on the site trying to fix the bugs.

Thanks, Bo Peep!

I figured something was going on...those techies need a " Men at Work" or "Construction Zone" sign they can put up for us |laugh1|

What is needed is that the people who promoted this upgrade as an improvement to Bo peep should have to personally apologise to each and every member of this forum for the inconvenience they have caused. They can start by travelling on their knees to Cornwall where Bo and Frank will be waiting to 'explain' things to them.

D'you know what the saddest part is? They fixed over 250 bugs for this release... and there's still problems with it :( The bug tracker on vb.com still has a lot unconfirmed/unfixed bugs to go yet

Yes, but you have to admit that our forum is looking good now and even better, things actually work!:D

It certainly is! And so many of the initial bugbears are gone! The new server seems quicker too :)

Most definitely! I think most of the bugs left are backend things that members who use the site won't really have issues with. So it's all good! :D

Yes it is and we are using it for helping each other - the reason why we are all here. What's a few bugs amongst friends, we all know the reasons why you had to change and I am sure most of us can live with them and get on with what we all enjoy - genealogy.

And have you all noticed that you can now again collapse the forum titles on the Forum Home page so that it is much quicker to scroll down to the County and Across the Pond Forums?

I had trouble getting in and it seems slow at the moment. I will have to reset the bookmarks and fiddle about for a bit to get it working right.

I have been out all morning and only logged on in the past half hour. No problem logging in. Things seemed to be the same at first, but I am now noticing how much quicker it is.

Congratulations on the move, Bo! All that twiddling worked! :D

When I first clicked on my bookmark it took me to some Parallel Web hosting site, so I went back and entered thru my favourites and then saved the forum page to bookmarks. I notice there is no Home Page like the old Parish Chest Page. It does seem faster now as I go along (it must have got my milk and cookies straightened out)!
