Hello, my name is Tracey and I have been researching my family history since 2004. A long the way I have hit a number of brick walls but also had the delight of making some wonderful breakthroughs. I’m sure I do not have to tell any of you the great feeling you get when you have been searching for ages with no results and then discover a will, a court record, a newspaper clipping or even a photograph in the family collection that you have not seen before!
My aim has always been not just to research the names and dates of my ancestors but also to delve more into the social history, and I hope in time to visit all the places they lived and worked. I have displayed a lot of my findings on my own website www.fallenleaves.co.uk. At times I have wondered why I pursue this hobby, and whether anyone in years to come will look through all the paperwork and information I have accumulated but it can be quite addictive.
Well I hope in time to chat to a few of you on this forum.
Happy researching, and remember that elusive ancestor is just around the corner.
All the best,
Tracey
