Im curious as to what age were you classed as a minor at marriage .
I have someone who wed as a minor ( as in age) in 1841 .

A "minor" or "under age" means between the age of 12 - 20 for a girl and 14 - 20 for a boy.
It was not until 1929, when the lower age limit for marriage was raised to 16 years.

Under the age of 21 was classed as a minor.

cheers.He was 20 that's why I was curious .As 20 in todays marriages are not Minors but obviously back then were.
