|wave|Hello Dave and welcome to the Brit-Gen forum - home of the family history researcher. I am delighted you have joined our community and hope we can help with your research. With a broken leg, you cannot stray far, |laugh1| so, have a good look around the forum and post your queries on the relevant boards.

Oh dear! I'm sorry about the broken leg, but at least it gives you a bit of time for the important stuff! You've come to the right place anyway, I'm sure you'll have lots of help, and may in turn be able to help others. Everyone's a bit preoccupied at the moment, the forums have just in the last day or two had a major facelift, and we're all still finding our way around. I'm sure others will be along shortly to welcome you properly though...
cheers birdlip
