Although I'm new here I've been tracing my family for at least 20 years! There are one or two brick walls but I won't go into those here. I've been tracing the GOODIN and TWIGGER names for years, and more recently COURTS, which married into my Goodin line and came from Fowey in Cornwall - I was amazed, and happy, to find I had Cornish roots.

I'm also now tracing the tree of a close friend and that has the WHITE, ALLAN, POINTS, TAYLOR and SKIPPER(?) names to follow-up.

I live in Essex, but was born in London - though the area I was born in was at the time within West Ham, a county borough of Essex so I suppose that makes me an Essex Girl! lol!

I look forward to having a good root around the forum.

You find us in a time of change as we have just upgraded to a new version of the forum and some are more lost than others at the moment. :)

But don't let that stop you. Please post any queries you may have in the appropriate section and hopefully you will have a response before too long.

Hello Ab and welcome to Brit Gen, we're going through a facelift with the forum webpage at the moment and things are a bit confused but we are getting there (I think)
