Hi Diane,
I too am from Cheshire, well Stockport when it was Cheshire, that of couse was after they had incorporated the Heaton bits from Lancashire :) I now live in North Wales.
Anyway, welcome, when I was at school half a century ago by best friends were Carolyn and Lesley Sears

Welcome, Diane - I was born and bred in God's own county too. I have Wicks cousins with Welsh antecedents. Any similarity?

Thanks for the welcome! I've just spotted a typo - it should be Seers, not Sears. I ought to explain that although I've lived in Cheshire for over 20 years, I was born and brought up in Sussex.

My Rouse, Seers and Seccull ancestors were from Oxfordshire/Northants and my Kings (and Newsons) from Suffolk. Hammertons from Surrey, Wicks from the London area.

Looking forward to joining in with the forums.
