My name is Jennifer. I am researching four families in the UK. Three are in Shropshire and Worcestershire, the Bramptons, the Timmins and the Spicers. I have another family I haven't gotten very far on, the Paxton's from either Oxfordshire or Birminghamshire. These four families are my newest arrivals to the States, coming between 1835 and 1884.

I have been researching for 10 years. I have my own genealogy website where I have my family and information on Choctaw indian genealogy. My grandfather was from the Choctaw tribe here in the states.

Hi Jennifer,
I was researching Tommins yesterday and found many Timmins in and around Shropshire, so good luck with that, this is a great site, they really are brick wall demolition experts. I am sure you will have much success and fun :)

|wave| Welcome! I'm such a |dunce2|. When I read the above and looked at your username I thought it was some Choctaw name ;) I now realise it is actually three words and could apply to us all!! My excuse is that I was up till 3am watching the Saints get to the Superbowl :)

Actually, my name, which does apply to us all, is the english translation of my ancestor's name Nahotima, which means she who seeks and gives. I use it for my website email.
