The ship was docked at Spithead, Portsea Island Portsmouth,Hants - on board - Joseph Palmer 19 single private. Wadhurst.
In 1861 Joseph is living at Sparrows green Road with his mother Sarah a widow aged 40 a charwoman and brother Nathaniel 12.
in 1881 can only find Nathaniel in Wadhurast living at Watergates with his wife Mary Ann and son Joseph. no Joseph or Sarah.
It seems people from Wadhurst area are no good on boats/ships- as HMS MINOTAUR was involved in a collision 2 years later and took three years for a refit.

Thankyou Robin I have them on 1841/51 quite a large family, I was thinking about Annora Watson Smyth as well when I said about Wadhurst people being unlucky on boats. Sorry about Lucretia password getting mixed up with name, still I like to be a little mysterious.
