Unable to find any family history on Richard Berry, born 1824 in Lockwood, married Mary ????, who was born 1829. Number of children ???? but one of their children was John W. Berry, born 1850.

The marriage I believe was is June 1849 Huddersfield Ref v22 page 235, to either a Mary Shaw or a Mary Whiteley.

Right I have worked out the Mary for you, as Henry on the 1861 is shown on the 1871 as Henry WHITLEY Berry!

John is John William
George is George Henry
and there is a new brother called Herbert aged 2.

I have earlier info that Joe Berry, born 1837, Lonroyd Bridge, Huddersfield was tha nephew of John W. Berry, son of Richard and Mary Berry of Lockwood.

With the info just received John William Berry must have been born around 1850, this being the case Joe Berry would not be a nephew but possibly a cousin.

I appologize, it appears I have been going in the wrong direction. I am looking for the Joe Berry's parents and siblings.

How do I get to the Census for the years and area that I am looking.

From the 1851 census, it appears that John Berry, Father, widower, retired, age 66 (putting his birth around 1785) is the Grandfather of Joe Berry, born around 1837.

The information between the Grandfather and Joe is what I need assistance with. I have Joe's family history, Thanks to you I know have some info on the Grandfather.

Is it possible for me to obtain access to the census.

Hi, you can obtain access to the census at Ancestry.co.uk or Findmypast.com. You have to register (free) then the 1881 census records are free to view, to view the other census records etc. you have to pay a subscription to the site.
