Hi
I was born in Bolton Lancs, have lived in Australia for the past 32 years. Now retired from nursing.
I have been researching for the past 5 years, most of my ancestors are English, Scots, Irish, of course the Irish are the biggest problem|banghead|,still with lots of brick walls to demolish|banghead|, been looking around your site and like what I see, hoping that you may be able to help some time soon.

Lots of help available here. Lots of Aussies too! (and many of them ex Brits as well)
You'll find this a great and very helpful forum.

Hello Sandra |wave|
Welcome to BG forums. I'm sure you will love it here. My grandfather was born in Bolton, came to Australia after deserting the RAN, jumping ship in New Zealand, back in 1908.
Have a look around, and post any queries or brickwalls on the appropriate board. Good luck with your research, and have fun.
:)

oops, Allanah, so sorry about that - I didn't scroll back far enough when I went to check out what name you had used to sign. Too big a hurry before I logged out. |oopsredfa I am chipping away at my credibility again.
