Hello all, I'm an ex-Brummie, now domiciled in North Wales.
Got into this ancestry lark about 2 years ago, it's addictive isn't it?
So far, I haven't left the computer keyboard, but I'm now reaching the stage where I might have to get myself around and about the UK consulting parish registers and just looking round where all my folk have come from.
So far I've located sailors in Sunderland - an epic journey by my g.g. grandmother as a small child (presumably alone) from Sunderland to the iron foundries of Wolverhampton (VERY Catherine Cookson), bonnet makers in bedfordshire, brassfounders in Brum and...... my latest project.....a family of bellfounders (big in the bellfounding circles of 17th and 18thC) in Chacombe Northants. If I can just find one link I can get back to 1610.
So I'm off now to ask a few questions in the relevant sections...........

Hi Trish, from another person who has Brum connections.

Look around, then post any brickwalls etc and I will send in the demolition squad.
