I have just searched Ancestry and come up with a marriage between Thomas Light and Sarah Thomas 14 Sep 1719. The source is apparently 'Wiltshire, England, Extracted Parish Records'. Book: Marriages in the Church (Marriage) and the collection is Registers of Marriage 1591-1812.

I haven't come across this before. The marriage does not show on the main Familysearch.org site or on their Pilot site. Can anyone suggest how I can find out which parish this information came from?
Thanks

It seems to be Phillimore's marriage transcripts for Wiltshire.

If you go here (http://www.archive.org/details/wiltshireparishr02phil) and search on Light, the parish appears to be Durrington.

Thanks Kerrywood. How did you find that out?

How did you find that out?

Apart from the newly uploaded London databases, most of Ancestry's so-called parish records are extracts from early published transcripts. For marriages, Phillimore seemed the most likely source, and many of Phillimore's transcripts are available at archive.org ;)
