Hello,

Trying to find more information about "Greening" and "Riglar" families in Powerstock Dorset. In 1861 census Richard Greening born 1797 living at 16 Shepherd St, Powerstock Dorset with son Richard Webber Greening b.1838 daughter Martha Greening b.1829. I think Richard (b1797) was married to Lydia Greening nee Webber.
In 1861 Henry Riglar JNR b.1820 in Powerstock was living with Jane Riglar Nee Dennett? b.1819 at 66 East Water, Powerstock with children Elizabeth, Samuel, Caroline, & George. Any info from 1841 would be gratefully received.

Hi Have you seen the site re: Powerstock? There is a wealth of information on it.

I descend from Caroline Riglar she was my G G Grandmother.
I know that the Greenings, Riglars & Gales intermarried over the years so if you have any specific questions please feel free to contact me.
Kind Regards
Delia

Hi, we have traced our Greening family back from here in hull through to Mortlake in surrey and now back to a William Greening in Powerstock. His parents were,we think, a William and Ann Greening married sometime in the early 1700's.
any information on these people would be gratefully received

could you please be more specific as to the name and birth details for the particular family that you are trying to find on the 1841 census. Do you have them in the 1851? the details on this census would be closer than the 1861.
