Found in the North Devon Journal of the 26th August 1852;-

21st inst., on board the "Lady Ebrington" emigrant ship in Appledore Pool, the wife of Mr Vear, yeoman, of Lincolnshire, of a son.

The Lady Ebrington was built as an emigrant ship, and this was her maiden voyage, leaving Barnstaple in August 1852 for Australia.

Best wishes

I have Vear's of Lincolnshire in my family. A Benjamin Vear was my grandmother's step-father. I will make a note of that thankyou.

Yes, always on the lookout. The Vear family are a little bit complicated and I need a dedicated session at the archives to sort them out really. So any leads for any 'that got away' is always helpful.
