Little Marlow,Hawkes

Hi all,
My name is Gary & I'm looking for any Information my G.G. grandfather Edward Hawkes a Hay Cutter who was born in Little Marlow 1849. On His Marriage certificate to his wife Emily Gigg at Kingsclere 17/05/1875 his father is named as John. I know they then moved to Preston in Lancashire but have no more info on his parents or if he had any brothers or sisters. Any help would be great & appreciated.

Circling back to 1861 where Edward may have been a lodger with the Yeoman family:

Meanwhile, it would appear that two of John's sons William, 25, and Joseph, 15, are working as carters for a farmer in the area [RG9/857 Folio 121 Page 22]. Another, James, 18, is a carter on another farm in Chipping Wycombe [RG9/856 Folio 127 Page 1].

Also, theres a death record for a Sophia Hawks [sic] in the 3rd quarter of 1855 in Wycombe district [Volume 3a no page given].

It would appear that John and Sophia had at least 10 children. If this is the right Edward's family, this means lots of extra limbs in the family tree to explore.
