bird and brown surnames

does anyone have any general information about romanies with surname bird, form forest of dean and later in north wilts in 1800s early 1900s? thank you

thank you very much for all of that info. i am very grateful. sorry for the delay in responding; i have had a few hectic days, and not much time for computer. i will check out the sight you mention, and also look up the names i have available, and will post again on here. i believe that the latest person i found was a danial bird, of minety or liegh, wiltshire, born in the forest of dean, who was a sawyer. i will look up the details, as i gave this all up a year ago, due to getting nowhere; need to refresh my memory ( should have done that before finding this great forum!)

I also have information prior to 1837 in other parts of Gloucestershire births, deaths and marriages... let me have the names and I will see what I can find.
