Hi, although our Lawry name is not linked with "Joanna", you may find some info on a website that lists her children with John. hattam click on family tree, select Oats from the list of names. He is listed under John Oats, death before 1861, family #13297. Good luck!

I also share some of the above ancestry. Mine detours at Anthony Oats and Jane Bennett through their daughter Loveday who married Thomas Tonkin. Loveday and Thomas' great grandson Thomas Veale came to Australia with his wife Charity Edwards and settled in Melbourne c1850.

Hi Margaret
My mother-in-law is a distant connection of Elizabeth Oats who married William Gartrell 12 January 1765 at Sennen. Elizabeth's parents were James Oats and Margaret Nicholas. I haven't any information on James and Margaret, apart from their names but would be thrilled if you could provide anything further. It is my mother-in-law's 70th birthday next month so my husband and I are giving her her family tree as a gift.

I am missing a large amount of my family tree but I do have that my great grandfather came from St Just in Penwith and his name is Claude Oates.
