Friends

I have just uploaded a page to my web site relating to the village of GLAPWELL, Derbyshire. It is not a village that I am researching but the page contains some info. that has been forthcoming during my 23+ years of research. The page is still being constructed.

In particular there is a pdf (my very first attempt) of the GLAPWELL Estate Sale with a description of all the properties being offered in the sale. It is (hopefully) fully searchable - if not please let me know.

GLAPWELL does appear (I think) on some Notts. census being close to the Notts. boundary.

Also, many Staffs. miners and their families (especially those from the Norton Canes area) came to the village in the 1890s.

Also on the page are two images of a Farm House with niches thereon, that are the subject of a question. What were they for?

Please if you have a minute, visit my site - go to Book 5 for GLAPWELL.

Kindest regards

Jack
