Could SKS with the 1851 Devon census please look up Alexander Dickerson and wife Susan and children including Thomas (my 2xgreat grandfather born about 1836/7), probably all living in Plymstock parish. Alexander and Susan were born about 1800; I'm interested in seeing where Alexander was born as the 1841 census (Plymstock parish, Pomphett Mill) gave his birthplace as outside the county perhaps in Scotland or Ireland or foreign places. Thomas came to Australia in about 1850 but I don't know anything about his parents
thanks

I only have the transcript CD.
Have found an Alexander & Susan but not the right age - 37 & 30 - but it seems a coincidence? No Thomas with them or elsewhere. Tried various speelings/searches.
3 children - Mary Ann, Ellen, & Alexander
all 5 b in Plymstock
if you think this is them I can send full details, but you may need someone who can look at originals

Thanks Karen,
This looks like them; Alexander was 38 in the 1841 census and Susan was 35 -after 10 years they seem to have got younger!! wish I could do the same. I'll order the film from the LDS church and see what that looks like. thanks again
Helen
