Looking for the baptism of WILLIAM BRACEGIRDLE who was - according to the census returns - born in Prestbury around 1804.
Nothing suitable on IGI; if anyone has access to the Parish Registers and could take a look, I would be grateful.
Many thanks

Thanks again

After I had posted this request, I did wonder about MCL and looked on their website - I was hoping you checked the Cheshire forum too .......:D

Maybe you can also answer this question ... I seem to remember reading somewhere (!) that many of the Cheshire PRs were not filmed by the LDS, and I note that on Hugh Wallis' site that the Prestbury Baptisms have only been filmed to 1706 - can you confirm - or correct - this vague memory?

MCL has Prestbury baptisms on film from 1560 to 1854 as per the MCL web site.I can't really tell you what the LDS did or did not film.I am sure that the information is on the net...somewhere!!!

Once again I am in your debt - this sounds right - Esther appears in William's children and succesive generations.
It's no good - I will have to retire, and start "lurking" at MCL too!!
These references that you have been good enough to find for me are from my mother's family; my father's are mostly in Cornwall, and it has always been much easier to arrange a visit to the Record Offices there - combined with a holiday!! You have really given my enthusiasm for my Lancashire (and Cheshire, now!) roots a boost, and I am grateful ....:D

Thanks very much!
