Looking for Martha or Bertha Taylor Born Herefordshire 1834/35 I think in the Monkland Stretford area. in 1841 Census. Also looking for James and Mary Ward Taylor in Stretford in the 1861 Census. I know these are tenuous but at the moemt it is all I have.

Thank for looking

Regards

Jenny

Hi Jenny
Could be yours in 1841 census
HO107/426/10 page 1 folio 3, Stocking Field, Sollers Dilwyn, Herefordshire [about a mile from Monkland & Stretford]
[all surname Taylor, all born in parish, ages 15+ supposed to be rounded down to nearest 5 years - they appear to be on this census page]
Samuel 45 ag lab
Martha 40
John 11
William 10
Mary 7
Martha 5
Elizabeth 1

If this is the right family, & if Elizabeth's birth was registered, then you could apply for a copy of her birth certificate which would give you the mother's name.

Hi Wirral,

Thanks for the message, Further to many enquires, I have found Williams Father John in Doclaw in 1851 with son James, Need to find a family in the Herefordshire area in 1841 with Father
John Kingsland Approx 45
Mother either Martha or Ann,
Children known,
William Westminster Approx 14
John Monkland approx 12
James Monkland Approx 4
Martha Monkland approx 5
Elizabeth Unknown

Father John was a farmer as was his son James in 1861

Have discovered on another site that he either owned or rented 291 fields in Hereforshire in 1841.

Thanks for looking up the info for me, I may be able to tie them in as brother or cousins though

Again thank you

Regards
