Can anyone help me locate the street where my father was born in 1910? The address on the birth certificate is "10 Grange Villas, Ellenborough" but I cannot find it on any recent map of Maryport or Ellenborough. Carlisle Reference Library had an old map dating from about that time that I was able to examine, but many of the roads in Ellenborough were not named, so that didn't help. I suppose that Grange Villas could simply be part of a longer terrace in another road. Or, of course, it could have been demolished. On my recent trip there, I was able to find the other streets where the family lived (Collins Terrace, which is still there, and Mandle Street, which now seems to be part of the Coop car park). Any help would be much appreciated.
