Hi There
My Grandmother was Winifred Hogan on of 12 Children born in May 1870 in Nenagh Tipperary to Michael hogan and Mary Molampy i would love to know when they got married and who their parents were
Winifred came out to Australia with some siblings around the late 1880s or 1890s
Michael and Mary would have got married in either 1850s or 1860s

Hi Vicki,
I have given your post a thread of its own as it may get more attention that way rather than being attached to another thread with a different topic. I have also moved it to the Tipperary Forum.
Also, welcome to the Brit-Gen forums.

Have you looked to see if one or both of the parents came to Australia as well?
One of my Tipperary families arrived over several years. One of the girls came first, got married, and then was joined by her mother and some younger sisters. A married son came later with his wife and first child. And another son turned up too. So yours may have arrived over several voyages too.
Do you have Winifred's birth certificate? It will confirm her mother's maiden name.
And welcome to the forum :)

Hello Vicki,
I also have Hogans from Nenagh, Tipperary.
At the moment I do not have Michael but he may be in there somewhere. ;)
I have William Hogan married to Anne (b. abt 1830)
Their son Thomas born about 1857-65 married Margaret Mary Madden b. 1870 in Nenagh in 1893.
Their children were,
Mary Ellen 1895, William 1897, Annie 1899, Bridget 1900 and Margaret 1904, Norah 1906 and Catherine 1908 Bridget is mine.
It may be possible that Thomas or William had brothers named Michael, I have yet to find out the siblings of Thomas. and William
The information I have is from the
North Tipperary Genealogy Centre through the Irish Family History Foundation. (Free to search but pay to view)
The 1901 and 1911 census online.
Certificates for Bridget.
Good Luck with your searches.

The IFHS has, in Tipperary, an
1857 Church marriage for a Mary Molamphy
1863 Church marriage for a Mary Mulampy
There are also Michael Hogan marriages in the same year. Unfortunately, it does not give the bride and grooms name together to know if they married each other. You have to pay to see that far. :(
