Hi All, |wave| Im very new at tracing my family tree and am posting this thread in the vague hope that someone can help. Im trying to trace the origin,or possible origin,of my GGGF Michael STREENAN (b 1832 - Ireland(England Census 1871)).I have already posted in the Antrim Forum as there was a Hugh STREENAN St Annes Ward Shankill Co Antrim (Griffiths Valuation).
I was wondering could STREENAN be a derivative of SHREENAN or SREENAN?
Any thoughts on the subject would be invaluable. Many thanks Mick

It is not a good idea to post the same name on several forums. It can cause duplication of effort with several members giving the same information in different places. Gets confusing. ;)

I will close this thread and ask members to reply to Mick's thread (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50544) on the
General Irish Family forum.

Good Luck
