Greetings fellow listers.
Hoping to trace back for the ancestors of Absalom BOUCHER b: 1791 d: 1848 (Servant/Footman/Butler/Innkeeper), who m: Priscilla COOMBS in 1825 at BRIDPORT.
In 1841 they were living with their 5 children in SYMONDSBURY. Interestingly, his 1st two children had STEVENS as a middle name, and one was named Ann ROBERTS Boucher. [2 other boys George b: 1841 & Robert b: 1844 came along after the 1841 Census].
Anyone who has links to the DORSET BOUCHERs & associated families, please let me know. I have plenty of information AFTER 1841, but not where Absalom came from or who his parents were.
Other family names: CLARK-COOMBS-BURWOOD-CHILCOTT-WHITE-BELLAMY-GERRARD-MOREY-LERY-DOWNTON.
Common Occupations: MASTER MARINER, SHIPWRIGHT, NAUTICAL INTRUMENT MAKER, DOCK WORKER, PILOT, INNKEEPER, LICENSED VICTUALLER.
