I have found a bapt. for a possible ancestor on Familysearch but I am having difficulty tracing the church.
I have not had a problem before as the Film number has always appeared but on this one there is no film number shown, just Source Call C023732.

The man in question is Henry Tattershall born 21.09.1837 Tottington Lancs.

Any assistance would be appreciated as I have been at this for 3 hours now and it's past my bedtime!

I believe the church in Tottington is St. Anns, but it would have previously been included in the parish of St. Mary's, Bury in earlier times.
Cheers

This is a puzzler! Of course you can find a list of the church records they have filmed in the LDS Library catalog under Tottington, but that doesn't explain why no church is mentioned or film number given. I can't see the batch listed on Hugh Wallis's site. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hughwallis/

There is a request to send an e-mail if you have a working batch number for extracted records that isn't on the site, so you might want to do that.

Best,

Peggy

Thank you Guy & Peggy

I have found the film numbers for St Anne's and will be checking them in due course. In the meantime I will send an email and see if I get a reply

At least it's not me this time!

Many thanks

".... the Chapelry of Tottington, in the Parish of Bury ...."

That would have fooled them in Utah. ;)

"Hey guys - is this one Wales? They have chapels there I've heard."
"No - keep it as "Lancastershire", It'll be one of those nonconfirmy things." :D

Yes,

Very funny...but can you imagine the fun they would have with pronunciation eg
Chomonderley.

I should have thought of the obvious but I am such a trusting soul and always assume any error is mine! It's taking me a long time to learn there are other idiots out there as well as me.

Thank you very much for the additional ideas and information.
