Hi,
My GGGG Grandfather was a James Delaney a Basket Maker of the City of Kilkenny who married a Catherine McEvoy circa 1815.
Their son Martin Delaney (born 15 August 1817) married in Kilkenny a Judith Collins ( she was the daughter of Brian Collins and Bridget Lind both of whom it appears went to the USA)
Martin Delaney and wife were sponsored to Australia by a Nicholas James.
They sailed from London on board the "Susan" and arrived in Sydney on 25 March 1841.
They settled in the Wagga Wagga region of NSW and had 6 children.
Any help on tracing James or Catherine of Kilkenny will be appreciated.
