Hello Belinda,
Can you give us any idea of dates?
When did she marry Joseph and what was the date of birth of her youngest son and do you have her on the census?

There are an awful lot of deaths for a Mary Ann Coote.

Are you saying her birth was 1833? if so, then the death Keyboard gave you would put her birth at 1839. Not impossible but is there a Lincs connection? ;)

Her parents were Abraham Waterfall and Ann Peaks.

Afraid still havent a clue when Mary Ann died as been through Royston Records and she isnt there so obviously after the death of her husband she must have moved

Well I can see her in the 1881 census with Joseph and young John Prime.
RG11; Piece: 1412; Folio: 91; Page: 56

They are still in Royston, Herts so her death would be after that date when she states she is 47 years old.

They lived in the High Street and Joseph was a Marine Store and General Dealer.

I cannot see either of them after the 1881 census. If he had a shop have you tried Trade Directories to see if he moved?

So, the only possible death, if she stayed in the same area is
Mary Coote June 1906 age 79 (so born 1827) in Royston.
3a/314, Age is a bit out 6/7 years but it depends who registered the death, did they know her exact age?

If that is her, she should appear in the 1891 and 1901 census and I cannot see her, maybe others can.

I'll keep a look out. ;)

That's probably the Mary who in 1901 is living in Royston with daughter Lydia D. Mary is aged 73.
RG13/1294 folio 31 page 7
There is also a Lydia S Coote, also born and living in Royston in 1901 but she's a bit younger.

I did wonder if she could have remarried.
I've looked at 1891 and 1901 Mary A *** born Horncastle in 1834+/-2 but I cannot find a matching marriage of a Mary Ann Coote to any of the census husbands. So that idea may not be any good.

I was surprised how many Mary Anns were born in that time frame in Horncastle.

Sorry. :(
