Malcolm/White Ketterkenny area

|help|Looking for any information for William Malcolm who married Mary White in1875.I think they had 10 children , one of them is Jacob Alexander who is my Maternal Greatgrandfather.He left the townland of Aughagault and went to Glasgow along with his sister Catherine.He was born in 1876 and I think she was born in 1878. Any information would be wonderful.

Do you mean Letterkenny? This is in County Donegal and is only about 4 miles or so from Aughagault.

Yes I did mean Letterkenny as I was there at the beginning of the month and visited Aughagault.

Just came across your posting - Many months later - but I am new to this forum. My great grandfather was William Malcolm. Jacob Alexander M. was my Grandfather. I'm also researching the Malcolm family and would really like more information. I think you were also researching Dobbie: I know that Ellen Hughes Malcolm became Ellen Dobbie. I have more information that may be interesting.

William Malcolm’s marriage to Mary White is registered in Letterkenny 1859 Volume 6, page 604. You can get a photocopy of it from GRO Roscommon for €4. www.groireland.ie/ Quote the above references on your application.
