Hi everyone,
I joined this morning, I was born in Birmingham and now live in Spain, I have just checked out the Parish Chest and was able to order a genealogy magazine, for me that just great, where I live up in the mountains near to Granada, English magazines are few and far between. I have been researching my tree for about 10 months and find it totally absorbing. I do not have broadband and my internet connection is very slow and somedays it just cuts out, so it makes researching twice as difficult, but I am lucky to have a connection anyway. I hope to find other members researching Bohemia family from Cornwall, Hooper from Pontypridd, Morgan from Cardiff (Tin St) and Follows from Staffs. (Lichfield).

Hi Pauline - and welcome :)

I had not come across the surname Bohemia before in Cornwall, so I did a very swift check on the censuses and discovered several entries. They seem to be in the St Austell/St Blazey area in the main. With it being quite an unusual surname here, I expect they would be fairly good to trace back.

Hi MarkJ, thanks for the welcome, I have information on the Bohemia side of the family, several marriages births etc. in Charleston Cornwall but I am wondering if the Bohemias came from Bohemia which back then was one of the Germanic States and now called Prague in Czech Republic, but I do not know how to research that far back. I woinder if anyone can help.
