Hi,
I am trying to find the marriage of Edmund Bradwell and Margaret Mahon who were married in Dublin in 1825, does anyone know if there are any records for that year, I have no knowledge of Margaret's parents and hoping that the certificate would give me some names.
thank you

Hi Minnimo,

I'm afraid you won't find a certificate that early as civil registration did not start in Ireland until the 1860s

You need to read the "sticky" on the 'Ireland Forum' It tells you all about early records.

Don't worry, we all have our Irish brickwalls. I've been banging my head against one for a couple of years now |banghead| and still I'm not getting any closer.

Goodluck

Hi Minnimo,

It looks like that there are only 2 churches called St Peters in Dublin. If you go to Dublinchurches.com and click on 'Find a Church' it shows their details including E-mail.

Both are Roman Catholic so there is a good chance that the records are still held by the church.

The present encumbents will normally do look ups although there may be a small charge.

Hope the weathers good in Durbs I used to nip up there every year to avoid the Cape winter ;)

Hi Stickymon
Many thanks for the help, I don't think that the Bradwells were Catholic, but the bride may have been, but I will have a look.
Weather been very cold here in Durbs this winter, we haven't had any rain for ages and now it has started and it is pouring and still very cold, very unlike the Natal Winters.regards Minnimo
