According to his obituary, John Barker was born in London in 1908, the son of George and Katherine Barker. His brother was also called George.
John moved to Scotland when he was two, and was raised in Gourock. In 1937 he married Isabel Henderson.
They emigrated to Vancouver in 1937.
Isabel died in 1967.
John died on 16th July 2009 in Nova Scotia, and I have a copy of his obituary, detailing his jobs, family, hobbies, etc.
