Maybe some early teething problems but one for the Fav's list.
It does wildcard search *
Thanks, Peter.
An interesting site. At a quick glance, it has some interesting information for anyone who enjoys reading about ordinary folks in history. I saw one listing of a soldier who was guilty of treason. I'll be going back to read more.

Excellent site - found my Henry de Pype who I lost, presumed dead in 1364 - shows up again in 1373:)

Thanks for posting this. I don't suppose he's any relation of mine - I'm not that far back yet - but it's fascinating to find a John Mede, archer, who went to France in 1415, serving under Michael de la Pole, who fell at Agincourt.
It's a pity so few show where they came from. I suppose most captains recruited from among their own tenants, so someone serving under Thomas Berkeley probably came from Gloucestershire. But without being able to sort them out geographically, it's difficult to sort all the Thomas Medes and John Medes.
