Bate Family

I am trying to research the Bate family. George Bate b. 28.09.1905 in Wolverhampton. Moved eventually to Sandy, Beds with his wife Gertrude Rosetta (known as Rose) and ran a taxi firm from his home in Kings Road, Sandy.
They had 3 children - Doreen Anne, Philip and John.
If anyone has any infomation I would be grateful.

Just anything really - George and Gertrude are my great-grandparents - we were trying to find a record of their marriage but ground to a halt there. Had kind of given up!
Any insight you could give would be great.
