Am putting this in Strays as I am not sure which part of Norfolk he came from and am too lazy to go and get the atlas :) Geoffers can give it a more local home if he wishes!

From the South African Commercial Advertiser (Cape Town)
20 October 1847

DIED on the 28th ult at the Residence of Capt. John BOYS JP, at St. Francis Bay, William Hougham TYSSEN Esq, late Captain in HM 80th Regt, formerly of Narborough in the County of Norfolk, and late of Honey Ville Farm, Gamtoos River, aged 35 years.

Narborough is halfway between Swaffham and Kings Lynn on the A47 if my memory serves me right.

Your memory is absolutely correct but it does have a bypass now so the A47 no longer runs through it.
