I am looking for the family of WILLIAM JONES b1873 Dymock, his father was James

The 1881 census revealed the following. James Bill Baker shows as William (Bill being short for William) and they don't always use their first name on the census' either.

I have emailed you links to view the images for the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census. He was the only William for 1873 with birth place of dymock.

How is it that he is a JONES when his father is a BAKER?
