William Roe

Can anyone help me find anything about my great great grandfather's family.
William Roe born in Pasonstown, Birr, Kings County(Co offaly) in 1816
He enlisted at Birr barracks in the 22nd. regiment of foot on
Sept 5th. 1833. I have the enlistment papers.
His occupation is listed as shoemaker, and all I know is his Father was also
William, beyond that I know nothing.
He received a bounty of 3 pounds on enlistment according to the records!
I'd be very grateful for any help or advice on where to go from here.
