This is my success story.
I posted a thread “Drayton – Winnipeg on 8/6/09 at 10.40pm and only 40 mins later I had a reply from V.Wells with a link to http://vitalstats.gov.mb.ca/Query.php
I had already visited the site and gathered some info but it didn’t hold what I wanted but as Tesco say “every little helps”
Then half hour later BAM AdeleE comes back with burial plots for 3 members of my family and even an obituary of the person I was looking for, which even included a photo.
That led on to me finding an obituary for another member of the family.
Next came BeeJay, who PM’d me, well what can I say!!! The information that she has gathered for me over the past 3 days is unbelievable!
I now have; full names of all the family, News paper notices of official name change from Drayton to Scull, Death notices and a 1993 50th wedding anniversary notice which included a picture of the happy couple in 1943.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and ever one of you for all your help.
A special thank you goes to BeeJay as she has done all this out of the limelight and therefore hasn’t had the recognition she so richly deserves.
Once again thank you all so very very much.|bowdown|
