my husband's grandmother jane BULLIVANT, had a brother, william branston BULLIVANT. he was born in nottingham, and in the 1891 census, he was aged about 15 and living at home, in the parish of arnold, nottingham. idly, i looked up his wedding, on bmd, and found his marriage registered in sept 1899, in farnham. why there? i looked further on bmd, and found on the same page, the following:
william branston BULLIVANT
alice sarah GODDARD
annie louisa GODDARD
walter william LONG
sisters? a double wedding? how sweet. and of course (famous last words, i'm sure) they would be married in their home parish. i would love to know for sure, but i have more direct ancestors to track down. still, i found this fascinating!
