In 1809 an ancestor names in his Will a Niece(late) and Nephew to inherit a sum of money but, no indication is given as to where they maybe living. The Death Duty Register provides no help either. I've looked everywhere for these people but without luck.

Time to share their names here-in Marlene.
Someone's bound to come up with something. Also the place of death or residence of the deceased.
Good luck.:)

Happy to share anything about this mystery! John Mocard died in 1809 in Saltash Cornwall and names Mary Boland as his late niece and George Bently as his nephew - no mention as to where George Bently is living or where the 2 children of his late niece could be living. John Mocard leaves everything to his niece Sarah Traill nee Luce of Stoke Damerel Devon and one of Sarah's sisters, Mary Rowe nee Luce of Saltash receives money - other siblings of Sarah's receive nothing. Mother of Sarah & Mary Luce is Ann Eleanor Bently. Can't find Ann Eleanor Bently's birthplace, birthdate or parents - she is thought to have been born around 1745 or so.
Luce family lived in Saltash for at least 3 centuries. Checked IGI and Isaac Bently married Esther Mocard (maybe sister to John) in 1745 in London.
Thank you for any help given with this one!

Just had a lovely sortee thro' Cornwall online Parish Clerks. Lot of Rowes & Luces but no Saltash records.
Three Bolands : Robert & Roland in 1583 burials at Sancreed & James 1892 Martin by Looe.
The Luces seem to abound also in Gloucester. I couldn't find the Girls marriages either which may have helped. Sorry I didn't.|sad1|
Somewhere someone else will come up with better info.

Are the two children of Mary BOLAND named? If so, can they be identified in the 1841 census?

Thank you both Waitabit and Geoffers for your help. Geoffers I've tried looking at the censuses to get a clue about the Bently family but no luck . I've seached IGI for maybe a 2nd christian name of Mocard combined with Bentley - no luck. I've known about John Mocard for the past 7 years so I figure it's time to get this sorted out. I think that perhaps John didn't know where Mary Boland's children were and the same with George Bently and that's why no address could be included in his Will. The "missing connection" is vital to my family history and I believe that it may have been a case of taxes being imposed on Sarah and Mary to have them named as "Nieces" instead of "Great-Nieces". I do know the Mocard connection is not on the Luce side so if I can unravel the mystery of Ann Eleanor Bentley and who her parents were, then I think I'll be ok. So, down to some serious searching!!
Best Wishes
Marlene

I'm not sure how the distinction may have made a difference to tax? - Also I doubt that a distinction would have been made between the generations, I would expect both to just be referred to as niece
