Robert MITCHELL ( name variants) was married to Ellen LIONS ( Helena LYONS) in Holy Trinity , Newington on 24th August , 1831. Their son Robert was b. Rotherhithe in June ,1832 and baptised July 27th , 1832 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Bermondsey.
Robert sen. was a seaman so have had trouble finding his birthplace but recently found from crew's list 1861 that he was born in Middlesex. Found Robert jun. on the 1841 census in Rotherhithe in the care of Jeremiah and Ellen COLLINS. Ellen , his mother must have died. Robert sen.'s second wife was Hannah ? aged 50 b. Ireland on the 1861 census of North Shields.
Would appreciate any help or suggestions to find Robert sen.'s birth and parents as well as any info. on his first wife Ellen.
