I'm currently researching my father's history.After leaving the army in 1945 he went to work on the Railways, and I have a certificate that was presented to him by BRITISH RAILWAYS/THE RAILWAY EXECUTIVE which reads as follows: This certificate places on record that S CARTER of London Midland Region volunteered to help on the flood damage works on the East Coast Main Line between Berwick and Dunbar and played his part in the speedy reinstatement whereby the lines were re-opened on the 25th October 1948 and on the bottom it says: Scottish Region-12August to 24thOctober 1948. Are there any records of London Midland Region personnel available so that I could check this up, either online or archived?|help|
