I've been tracing my family history for about 5 years, having been given some un-named photos and two Birthday Books when my Aunt died a few years ago. I've mostly been concentrating on my paternal side and have managed to get back to the early 1800s before hitting a brick wall. I'd almost decided to have a break until my step sister-in-law told me she had traced her tree back to the 500s!! That spurred me on to start looking again. Still no definite progress, but I'll keep trying - hopefully with the help of some of you wonderful knowledgeable people out there!

Best wishes

Christine

Names I am searching: Bushnell (Berks/Oxon & London), Harmes (Middlesex), Newson (Suffolk & London), Matthews (London), Cottington (Sussex & London), Brown (Sussex & London)

Hi Shetur and welcome.

I'm newish on here and have found the BG family to be a fountain of information when I've needed help.

How wonderful to be able to trace our people so far back as your sister in law - it gives me hope!

Good luck and happy hunting.

Thanks for the Welcome Ghetts & Bo-peep. I've already posted to the Census Forum, and I'm just about to compose a missive for the Brickwall page.
