Would anyone have encountered primary/secondary documentation to these two individuals? They were the parents of Margaret Ross b. 1746. I believe that they were congregants of St. Nicholas.

I'm also looking for any reference to a William and Barbara Morrison (siblings) born or of Aberdeen in the 1740s.

William Morrison married Margaret Ross in 1779. His presumed sister Barbara married a Donald MacKay likely in the mid-1770s.

Best Wishes

Inez

Please note there is a bit more information on this thread (http://www.british-genealogy.com/forums/showthread.php?p=275286&posted=1#post275286) about this family.

I must admit too being slightly confused as to which two individuals you are referring to in the first paragraph Inez.

Catherine Morrison was born in 1780 in Glasgow to William and Margaret Ross Morrison. In 1803, she married her cousin, William MacKay in Thurso, Caithness. He was reputed to be the son a Donald MacKay and Barbara Morrison.

Would anyone have any documentation that could shed light on William Morrison and Barbara Morrison's origins? William Morrison married Margaret Ross in 1779 in Aberdeen (St. Nicholas). Was he a local?

Margaret Ross (b. 1746) was the daughter of John Ross and Barbara Birie. Would anyone have encountered these two in their researches of the Morrison, Ross or Birie families?

Thank you.
